In a nail-biting contest. Chennai super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 6 runs at Chepak Stadium
Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to field. Chennai super kings piled up a challenging total of 208 for 5, thanks to a 104-run stand between Matthew Hayden and Suresh Raina. Hayden, in particular, was merciless and plundered 81 runs in just 46 balls. Suresh Rainaon the other end made a quick fire 53 of 37 balls, whic included 3 sixes and 3 fours.
208 looks like a chasable score on ground full of dew, Chennai bowlers struggled to grip the ball. A late assault from Abhishek Nayar and Harbhajan Singh bought Mumbai Indians close to victory. With 9 required off the last over, abhishek trashed first 2 balls to fours, a single on third ball which was declared a no ball proved costly to Mumbai Indians, that single bought Ashish Nehra on strike. Nehra missed the free hit and could only score a single in next ball. Abhishek Nayar top scored with 45 runs of 20 balls, which included 6 fours and a six..

Bangalore Royal Challengers trashed Mumbai Indians infront of a nosiy Mumbai crowd in there first match. In a match dominated by porteas, Boucher and kallis denied win to Mumbai.
Sachin missed this match and Luke Ronchi, opened the innings with Sanath. Virat Kohli took a awesome catch to dismiss dangerous Ronchi( He had a strike rate of 177 in T20’s). After 17 overs, Mumbai only had 129, but Pollock went on against Bangalore bowlers. Robin Uthappa(48 in 38 ),Sanath Jayasuriya(29), and pollocks 12-ball 28 lifted Mumbai Indians to a challenging 165 for 6 in their first encounter at IPL. Harbhajhan did a fine job as a captain. Zahher Khan looked at his best utilized bounce and controlled the ball very well
Bangalore low of confidence started there reply shakily, while Chandrapual looked confident Dravid was clueless initially but later one displayed some good strokes.
Dravid should come in middle of the innings than open the innings. Virat Kohli Sparked in his short innings, no doubt he will make into India ODI squad very soon. Boucher(39 runs) straight away played beautifully and along with Kallis( 55 run partnership) steered Bangalore Royal Challengers to there first victory

Reliance Industries(Mukesh Ambani) bought Mumbai franchise, supposed to be on the most fought franchise for a record $111.9 Million making it the most expensive franchise in IPL.
Sachin Tendulkar will lead the team and start his carrer in new format of the game. India’s team manger during there triumph at ICC t20 world cup, Lalchand Rajput will coach the team. Harsha Bhogle and few other noted crickets will help the team as support staff
They exhausted there resources buying Harbhajhan Singh for a whooping $850,000 and were left with inexperienced wicket keepers .
Strengths – Good bating squad with some quality allrounders like Sanath Jayasurya, Pollock and
Weakness – Wicket keepers, I Don’t think Harbhajan Singh is worth the money they spend, he may have a dull IPL keeping in view of the flat pitches. T20’s need alrounders
Star Players – Wo else than sachin, need to see how master blaster do in T20’s. Sanath Jayasuriya and Robin Uthappa one of the hard hitting cricketers
Prediction – Will be in Top 4
