2011 ICC Cricket World Cup Venues

2011 World Cup organizing committee finalized venues for India’s 29 matches. A total of 49 matches will be played in the three countries during the event.

As expected Eden Gardens will not host finals this time

The venue-based match distribution:

Mumbai         -    Final + 2 games
Mohali                -    Semi Final + 2 games
Ahmedabad        -    Quarter Final + 2 games
Delhi                   -    1 India game + 3 games
Chennai              -    1 India game + 3 games
Bangalore           -    1 India game + 3 games
Nagpur               -     1 India game + 3 games
Kolkata              -    1 India game + 3 games

Groups for the 2011 World Cup

Group A – Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya.

gary kirsten advice to Indian cricketers : have an active sex life during tours

Controversies are nothing new in Indin cricket but the latest one arround India’s coach Gary Kirsten advice to his players to ‘go ahead and indulge’ ahead of the Champions Trophy is truly uncalled for.

Gary Kirsten, tops the lot. Kirsten has advised Indian cricketers to have an active sex life during cricketing tours and if a partner can’t be found, to masturbate. He believes that this raises testosterone levels and consequently players’ aggression, energy and strength – the factors needed to dominate the field.

The four-part document was circulated to Indian crickeers playing in champions trophy also includes details about food and eating habits, from ways to avoid acidity to developing habits that will benefit in the long run as well as advocating caution against diabetes. It also deals withneed for attitudinal changes and to develop physical, spiritual and emotional intelligence.

Many of us are missing the context and looking only at few suggestions made by Gary Kristen. The context and advice given here is different and isbacked by medical professionals

The final part of the document explores the difficulties India has had in playing away from home and draws examples from India’s history as a country and the wars it has fought.

IPL Tour Packs to South Africa

Kerala Voyages, has partnered with South Africa-based premium travel company, Africa Experience, to launch Indian Premier League (IPL) special holiday experience packages targeting the Indian cricket fans expected to travel to the country during the tournament season.

For those cricket fans, an itinerary of just cricket, as well as customised programmes to suit individuals, groups and corporate clients is also available.The IPL special package comes in two variants — one with three -star category facilities targeting budget travellers, other with five-star luxury amenities targeting high-end travellers. Both the packages offer complimentary tickets for three IPL matches. Three-star packages start with Rs 36,000 and five-star packages with Rs 81,000, both per person on twin sharing basis. Packages cover all transfers and tours, but not airfares to South Africa.

Chennai Super Kings won the crutial DLF-IPL Twenty20 match by three runs against Kolkata Knight Riders as per the Duckworth-Lewis. In a match which saw interruptions first by the failure of some lights in the floodlight towers and later by a Nor’wester that lashed the stadium, chennai did just enough to be on safe side

Ntini dismissed Sourav Ganguly in his third over, and then returned 11 overs later to bowl Debabrata Das and David Hussey in successive balls. Ntini sharp bowling (4/21) restricted the Kolkata Knight Riders to 5/149.
