Each team plays every other team twice, once at Home and once Away (EPL Style till now), the top 4 teams clash in Semi’s and in one mega finals. The problem with such format is even if you entered into semis as 4th team 2 good days will make you champions. BCCI would have come with this format to create hype on a mega d-day and cash in as much as possible.

would be interesting to see whether cricket crazy Indians accept this format and karmayudh??  All this media hype and glamor will make ipl attract TRP’s but will take hell lot of time to create passion and fan following for individual clubs.
