Kings Punjab won a thriller against Mumbai Indians

Shaun Marsh and Luke Pomersbach shared in a century stand as Punjab pulled off a thrilling one-run win over Mumbai in the Indian Premier League overnight. At one stage Mumbai is cruising to victory but some thoughtless batting in last 4 overs turned things. Robin uthappa made things, hitting 3 senseless shots, he added pressure on Sachin. Sachin tried for a single on 4th bowl and got himself runout. Pollock was dismissed in next ball and soon Robin uthappa gifted his wicket. With 19 needed in last over and tail enders batting, no one had a hope, but VRV Singh bowled a noball which was hit to a six and then 4 on free hit. The last over saw 3 run outs. Five run-outs (Tendulkar, Dwayne Smith, Siddharth Chitnis, Ashish Nehra and Vikrant Yeligetti) turned the match in favour of Punjab

Kings XI went on to make 4 for 189 from their 20 overs with Marsh (81 off 56) and Pomersbach (79 not out off 50)

Mumbai Indians won six successive matches when they beat Deccan Chargers by 25 runs at Hyderabad. Chasing 178 , Dilhara Fernando’s double strike in the fifth over of the innings, turned the match. Earlier affridi lost his wicket in his own style – mistiming a big hit. ighting knocks from Venugopala Rao (57, 38b, 4×4, 3×6) and D.B. Ravi Teja (37, 27b, 2×4, 3×6) raised little hope, but the asking rate keep on raising and went beyond Deccan Chargers reach.Venugopal Rao’s heroics once again went in vain.

Dilhara Fernando who replaced injured S. Pollock took two crucial wickets

Sanath Jayasuriya continued his flamboyant form, and scored36 in just 15 balls. d Sachin Tendulkar, looked good and scored 23 off 19 balls, and then Abhisek Nayar’s 24-ball 38 and West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, 30 off 17 balls, helped Mumbai setting a challenging score

Mumbai scored a crushing victory after Kolkata was bowled out for an embarrassing 67 in the Indian Premier League
Pollock (3 for 12) scintillating spell dismmised Knight Riders for the lowest score of the tournament. The worst score previously in the tournament was Bangalore Royals’ 82 against Knight Riders. Kolkata lost half their side with only 29 on the board. Bravo, Rohan Raje and Australia’s Dominic Thornely grabbed two wickets each

Sachin Tendulkar went for a duck ,Robin Uthappa made 9 and sanath Jayasuriya scored a unbeaten 48 in 17-ball’s helped mumbai to finish the game in style. The race for 4th place is hotting up with 3 teams contesting for the fourth place

Mumbai Indians crush Chennai Super Kings

Sanath Jayasuriya bashed the second-fast century in Indian Premier League history as Mumbai thrashed Chennai by nine wickets at the Wankhede Stadium overnight. Chasing 157 to win, the Indians reached the target losing only one wicket and with 37 balls to spare

Jayasuriya, smashed the second-fastest hundred of the IPL. His century came off just 45 balls and included 11 sixes and nine fours, 102 of his runs coming from boundaries and sixes. Jayasuriya’s innings look like watching highlights
