Shaun Marsh and Luke Pomersbach shared in a century stand as Punjab pulled off a thrilling one-run win over Mumbai in the Indian Premier League overnight. At one stage Mumbai is cruising to victory but some thoughtless batting in last 4 overs turned things. Robin uthappa made things, hitting 3 senseless shots, he added pressure on Sachin. Sachin tried for a single on 4th bowl and got himself runout. Pollock was dismissed in next ball and soon Robin uthappa gifted his wicket. With 19 needed in last over and tail enders batting, no one had a hope, but VRV Singh bowled a noball which was hit to a six and then 4 on free hit. The last over saw 3 run outs. Five run-outs (Tendulkar, Dwayne Smith, Siddharth Chitnis, Ashish Nehra and Vikrant Yeligetti) turned the match in favour of Punjab
Kings XI went on to make 4 for 189 from their 20 overs with Marsh (81 off 56) and Pomersbach (79 not out off 50)

Delhi hopes were dashed in there crutial match as rain played spoilsport,, Kings XI Punjab emerged winners when they were comfortably placed at 94 for three after eight overs and were ahead of the required run rate under Duckworth-Lewis system. Jayawardene’s 17-ball 36 and Pomersbach’s 25 off 12 balls helped Punjab recover after loosing top order cheaply
Delhi posted a total of 118 runs at the loss of four wickets however, were set a revised target of 123 runs according to the D/L method after interrupted play.The match was reduced to 11 overs per side after being stopped for close to two hours in the ninth over.

As expected in a one sided match Punjab trashed Banglore Royal Challengers Bangalore set Kings XI Punjab a target of 144 in their DLF-Indian Premier League match at the PCA Stadium
Punjab bowlers dominated a strugling, low confidence bangalore batting line up. S. Sreesanth took three wickets, while Piyush Chawla and Irfan Pathan shared 2 wickets each. Bangalore’s new opening combination Virat Kohli and J. Arun Kumar did not last long. Misbah-ul-Haq’s eight-ball 21, Dravid’s 27-ball 29 and Bouchers 39 off 31 deliveries helped Bangalore to set a very low target in batting friendly PCA stadium
Shaun Marsh, who smashed sizzling unbeaten 74 off just 51 balls helped punjab to reach the target in 16 th over itself. Bangalore royal challengers off field controversies added more pressure to the side and their batting failed yet again.

Lakshmipathy Balaji took a stunning 5 for 24 including the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) first hat-trick as Chennai downed the Kings XI Punjab by 18 runs. Honestly Balaji is lucky enough to get that hattrick. Balaji’s hatrick came in the last over of the match, off which the Mohali team needed an unlikely 27 runs.
Batting first chennai set a target of 182. despite lossing both openers early, chennai middle order batsmen played very sensible cricket. S. Badrinath and M.S. Dhoni put on 91 runs in 64 balls for the fourth wicket,badrinath hit sixes with remarkable ease and made 64 in 47 balls
On IPL Points table chennai Super Kings level with the Rajasthan Royals at the top of the points table, while Punjab remain well placed in third despite the loss.
